The positional release therapy (PRT) seminar will provide the clinician an understanding behind the theory and practice of PRT and instruction on how to apply PRT to improve therapeutic outcomes. The seminar will also allow participants to gain proficiency with common PRT techniques and treat participant conditions through guided instruction. PRT treats somatic dysfunction by placing the body in a position of greatest comfort for a period of time, while a sub-maximal palpation is applied to a tender point. The therapeutic procedure reduces irritability of the tender point, promoting reduction of pain and tissue hypomobility. All PRT applications are passive in nature; therefore, they are safe for nearly all conditions and ages.
