The Fall Classic pits two of the best teams in the league in what is sure to be a classic Series. The Yankees and the Phillies both bring in dynamic offensive line-ups as well as very powerful pitching rotations.

The Yankees look for their first World Series title since 2000 and are led by captain Derek Jeter, power-hitting Alex Rodriguez and Marx Teixeira, and the overwhelming pitching of CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett, all-time playoff saves leader Mariano Rivera and all-time playoff wins leader Andy Pettitte.
The Philadelphia Phillies return to the World Series in hopes of repeating their successes last year when they were crowned World Champions. If there is any line-up that can stand up against the Yankees, it's Philadelphia's roster. Their offense is led by home run machine Ryan Howard, along with three other regular-season 30 home run hitters in Chase Utley, Jayson Werth, and Raul Ibanez. Philly sports its own impressive pitching staff led by the dominate duo of Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels and looks for another strong post-season from their closer, Brad Lidge.
